What better activity to explore your Swedish roots is there than cooking together? Prepare your family’s traditional food and create new memories together. You can even try cooking the local food where your ancestors came from or dishes from Ödevata! Contact us and we will arrange according to your needs.
We will start with an introduction about Ödevata, and then we continue to Ödevata’s Consvertory of the Future. There you learn about how to start your own family aquaponics.
Our hosts, Magnus and Malin, will show how to grow vegetables in a closed loop water system with the help of fish and biochar.
We then continue with outdoor cooking, which takes place on the terrace outside the conservatory. You will get a wonderful view of the lake and the forests. Magnus fishes up Tilapia from their aquaponics that you can use in your cooking, or you can simply grill the fish on the biochar grill. You will need to work together to keep the grill hot and nurture the biochar that you produced during your cooking.
